What is LASIK?
What is LASIK?
LASIK vision correction has been used to treat more eyes than any other laser vision treatment performed today. And no other procedure measures up to iDesign LASIK technology, which combines the world’s most advanced vision correction enhancements into one safe and effective procedure.
iLASIK is FDA-approved to treat a wide range of vision imperfections, including mild to severe nearsightedness and farsightedness as well as types of astigmatism. It is the only procedure approved for NASA astronauts and the U.S. military.
With iDesign LASIK technology - the most innovative laser vision correction procedure – the Dunes LASIK team brings many patients’ vision beyond 20/20.

How It Works?
Scans of your eyes are taken, mapping your individual refractive signature. Signatures are unique to each eye – like a fingerprint – and provide the correction for your personalized iLASIK treatment.
iLASIK is completely bladeless, using two types of lasers. No blades, needles or any sharp objects ever touch your eye.
A thin flap of corneal tissue is created with a laser and folded back. Next, the curvature of the cornea is gently reshaped. The change in shape and curvature of the cornea allows light to focus more precisely onto the retina surface, reducing dependence on glasses and contacts.
The treatment is described as pain-free and only takes a few moments to complete in the office.
LASIK surgery is far safer – and more affordable – than long-term contact use. See how you can save!
